TANTIVANICH’S is a collectible design house born between Bangkok and London, where the ordinary is rarely left ordinary.
Furniture and objects become a territory for curiosity, contradiction and transformation. Familiar forms are distorted, embellished and reimagined through rattan, raffia, bamboo, freshwater pearls and other materials rooted in the landscapes and making traditions of Southeast Asia.
Working closely with artisans across Thailand, the House brings traditional craftsmanship into conversation with surrealism, architecture and contemporary art. Materials associated with utility are treated as precious; decoration becomes structure; and domestic objects begin to behave more like characters than things.
Each piece is made in limited quantities, allowing the marks of the hand, irregularities of natural materials and traces of its making to remain visible.
TANTIVANICH’S exists somewhere between art and function, the familiar and the strange, the precious and the ordinary.

THE DESIGNER
Nutthida “Sunny” Tantivanich is a Thai-born, London-based designer and the founder of TANTIVANICH’S.
Trained across architecture, design and entrepreneurship, her practice moves between objects, interiors and art, approaching design as a form of storytelling rather than a fixed discipline. Her work is shaped by an ongoing fascination with material, ornament, cultural memory and the strange possibilities hidden within familiar things.
Born in Bangkok and based in London, Sunny draws from the visual languages and making traditions of Southeast Asia while working within a contemporary European context. Rattan, raffia, bamboo, freshwater pearls and other materials associated with everyday life are removed from their expected settings and reimagined as objects of curiosity, humour and desire.
TANTIVANICH’S grew from this approach: a house where craftsmanship and surrealism coexist, and where an ordinary domestic object is never required to remain ordinary.
